Arranging Consultations

Consultations with our Surgeons are simple to arrange. Check out the operation information on this website which gives you more details and photographs. Once you feel you have enough background information it’s time to telephone our Administration Centre. Call us and we’ll organise everything for you.

Are Consultations Confidential?

All consultations are completely confidential. If you bring a friend or member of your family with you obviously they will hear what you discuss with our Surgeon. They are not entitled to any information from us at a later date without your written permission.

Your GP does not need to know about your consultation. We would never contact your GP or make any enquiries about you without first receiving your permission. We would also not divulge any information you give us to any member of your family.

What happens at Consultation?

Consultations are designed to enable you and the Surgeon to discuss the procedure in which you are interested, in complete confidence. A physical examination is invariably required, for example, a study of your face and skin if you are considering a Classical Face Lift. Your Surgeon will also discuss health matters relevant to you and to the particular operation that you are interested in.

Surgeon’s Examination

If you are interested in an operation which requires a more intimate examination, (for example a Breast Enhancement), there will always be a chaperone present. You may always request a chaperone even if the procedure is something covering non-intimate body parts like a Rhinoplasty (nose operation). It is very important that you are comfortable and relaxed when with your consulting Surgeon.

Procedure Information Leaflet

At Consultation there is always a lot of information for you to listen to. To help you our Surgeons have prepared their individual Procedure Information leaflets, which cover every aspect of the procedure in which you are interested. These are for you to take home with you, perhaps to enable you to discuss more fully with your partner or friend.

Post Consultation Leaflet

Following your Surgeon’s Consultation your Administrator/Nurse will complete a Post-Consultation leaflet for you. This confirms any procedure for which you may be suitable and covers everything to do with the administrative side of booking operations. The leaflet also confirms the cost of the operation in which you are interested and takes into account any additional or different requirements that you may have.

Data Protection
The Pountney Clinic complies fully with the requirement of Data Protection. All the information that we receive from you is confidential whether or not you decide to come for an operation with us.
